وبعد اذنك سأضيف شرح منقول لهذه الخدمة للتوضيح
أولا ما هى خدمة RSS ؟
إن خدمة RSS موجودة منذ عام 1998 وقد تم تطويرها بواسطة شركة نيت سكيب، ولكنها لسبب ما أو لآخر أهملت، حتى عاد الاهتمام بها مؤخرا وخاصة بعد بدء محركات البحث مثل Yahoo و Google إلى إضافة مزيد من الاهتمام بالمواقع الاخبارية التى تتيح الأخبار من خلال هذه التقنية. وحاليا كبرى المواقع الاخبارية العالمية مثل BBC و CNN وغيرها تقدم أخبارها بهذه الطريقة على مدار الساعة.
وفى البداية، عنى بمصطلح RSS عبارة Rich Site Summary - أما حاليا فالعبارة الأشهر استخداما هى Really Simple Syndication - وبغض النظر عن المسميات فالغرض فى كل الاحوال هو أن هذه التقنية تتيح لمنتجى الاخبار ايصال أخبارهم الأحدث مباشرة الى المتلقى بدون حاجة هذا الاخير الى زيارة مواقعهم. ويجرى ذلك من خلال برنامج قارىء للأخبار - أو ما يعرف باسم RSS News Feed Reader . لذا فإنه يتوجب على من يرغب فى الاستفادة من هذه الخدمة أن يقوم بتحميل برنامج قارىء للأخبار مناسب على حاسبه.
وتشتمل الأخبار المتلقاة بهذه الطريق، فى أبسط صورها، على عنوان الخبر، ومختصر لنص الخبر، ووصلة (أو رابط) للنص الكامل للخبر على موقع منتج الخبر.
ثانيا: كيف أستفيد من خدمة RSS؟
يجب عليك تحميل برنامج قارىء أخبار - RSS Reader - يدعم اللغة العربية , ولتسهيل هذه المهمة عليك فقد قمنا باختبار عدد من هذه البرامج ووجدنا أن FeedReader يستطيع عرض اللغة العربية ببساطة. * برنامج Feedreader (الحجم 1.41 MB) ويمكن تحميله من هذا الرابط اضغط هنا وهو يعرض نتائج تجميع الأخبار فى متصحف الانترنت بسهولة. ويأتى محملا باشتراكات مجانية فى العديد من مواقع الأخبار العالمية.

ثالثا: كيف تعمل خدمة RSS؟
عندما ترى أى من الشعار ات الخاصة بهذه التقنية مثل
(سواء فى موقعنا أو موقع آخر يقدم هذه الخدمة) فإنك لا تضغط على هذا الشعار كما هو معتاد للوصول للمحتوى، لأن الملف الناتج لا يمكن عرضه بواسطة متصفح الانترنت المعتاد (لأنه مكتوب بشفرة XML/RSS) ولكن تضغط زر الفأرة (الماوس) الأيمن وتختار من القائمة الناتجة Copy Shortcut هذه الخطوة الهامة جدا سوف تنقل الى حافظة أو ذاكرة نظامك مصدر عنوان الأخبار الخاص بالموقع (والذى هو بمثابة محطة اخبار أو مذياع الموقع)، وفى حالتنا هذه فهو (تسهيلا عليك): بعد ذلك تتوجه الى برنامج قارىء الاخبار الذى قمت بتشغيله على جهازك من قبل، وتقوم بعمل اختيار اضافة مصدر أخبار جديد ثم تقو بلصق (paste) عنوان الأخبار الذى نسخته فى الخطوة السابقة. الشكلين التاليين يوضحان كيفية عمل ذلك فى برنامج RssReader رابع: ما هى مزايا خدمة RSS؟
يمكنك الاطلاع على العديد من الاخبار التى قمت بنفسك باختيار نوعيتها ومصادرها فى مكان واحد، ودون الحاجة لتصفح كل موقع على حدة لمعرفة ما هو الجديد به.
لا يحرمك من زيارة الموقع لمعرفة تفاصيل اى خبر يجذب اهتمامك
يوفر لك قارىء الاخبار متابعة فورية لمواقعك المفضلة التى تدعم هذه الخدمة على مدار الساعة
بالنسبة لمنتجى الاخبار، يوفر لهم اتصال دائم وسريع بزوارهم وقارئيهم، بما يسمح بنشر اى خبر هام او عاجل فورا وعلى اكبر قدر من القراء الذين ضبطوا قارءاتهم على عنوان اخبار الموقع
بالطبع كل قارىء أخبار له مجموعة من الضبطيات والمزايا التى يجب كمستخدم أن تتعرف عليها لكل قارىء أخبار على حدة. على سبيل المثال اذا كان لديك اتصال دائم بالانترنت فربما يكون من المناسب أن تفعل ضبطية تشغيل قارىء الاخبار مع بداية تشغيل ويندوز بحيث يعلمك القارىء بأحدث الاخبار بعد لحظات من تشغيل جهازك. اما اذا كان اتصالك بالشبكة متقطعا، فربما تود تشغيل قارىء الاخبار يدويا كلما اتصلت بالشبكة وتغلقه مع قطع الاتصال. يمكنك ايضا فى معظم القارءات أن تضبط معدل جلب الاخبار. الوضعية الافتراضية هى جلب الاخبار كل 3 ساعات فى معظم القاراءات ولكن ربما تود ان تطيل او ان تقصر هذا الزمن، الخ.
وفى النهاية، هذه الخدمة يمكن تشبيهها بمحطات البث الاذاعى أوالتليفزيونى، وقارىء الاخبار يمكن تشبيهه بجهاز الراديو أو التليفزيون، حيث يمكنك انت القارىء، أو المستمع، او المشاهد، ضبط جهازك على المحطات التى تريدها. يبقى أن نعرف أنه توجد قارءات أخبار تندمج مع انترنت اكسبلورر بحيث عند الضغط المباشر على أيقونة (بخلاف نسخ ولصق عنوان الاخبار كما سبق توضيحه) يتم الاشتراك فورا لدى مصدر الأخبار ويتم عرض أخر الاخبار من هذا المصدر فى نافذة جديدة. ولكن بحسب معلوماتنا، لا يدعم احدها اللغة العربية حتى الآن.
